When visiting our webshop, making an order or contacting our customer service; these are among others instances whereby we collect personal data. Data collection with a clear objective of course. Nonetheless, we strive to properly inform you about all data collection which occurs during your visit. Therefore, this privacy statement clearly describes all situations and instances whereby we process your personal data.

The use of our webshop
When visiting our webshop, we collect certain data from you. Not names, e-mail addresses or telephone numbers but more technical data. Think about IP address (anonymous), cookies and your browser data like browser type (Chrome, Internet explorer and Firefox).

Your IP address and browser data are clear examples of data we use in Google Analytics. This software allows us to analyze your webshop visit and use behavior. We have concluded a processing agreement with Google to clearly define the rules and regulations of our data processing. Moreover, we allow Google to consult our Analytics information whenever and wherever required when their support is requested. With your permission Google Analytics will temporarily link the data as described above to your Google account, so you will receive personalized advertisements through re-marketing.

It must be clear by now that we collect certain data from you when visiting and using our webshop. This data can be personal data. We only use and store personal data which have been directly provided by you, in the context of the service you have requested or of which it is clear they are provided to us for processing.

Cookies are used on our webshop. Cookies are also placed by third parties that are enabled by us. When visiting our webshop for the first time, a message is displayed in which we explain why we use cookies and we show the cookies you can accept.

Making an order (with or without an account)
If you make an order on our webshop we require the below data:

  • E-mail address
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Delivery and invoice address
  • Telephone number
  • Payment data
  • IP-Address

These data are required to properly receive the payment and to ensure the order is shipped to the right location. The e-mail address is requested in order to send you a confirmation of your order and to provide you the invoice. The telephone number is mainly, if required, used to keep you informed about possible order changes. We collect the IP address to avoid fraudsters from visiting and using our webshop.  

If you make an order with an account (which can be created during the order process), we store the data as long as you would like to keep your account. After all, the reason you have probably created an account is to avoid filling in your data again and again.

Additional data which can be consulted and is stored in your account are:

  • Your previous orders;
  • Your address book;
  • Your wish list;
  • Your written product reviews.

We will not provide your personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary in the context of the implementation of the agreement that you conclude with us or if this is required by law. In the event of a suspicion of fraud or misuse of our webshop, we may hand over personal data to the competent authorities.

Contact us
Feel free to contact us by phone, mail or chat when having questions, complaints or feedback. In order to properly and quickly help you, we use various personal data. First, we only need you name, e-mail address and/or telephone number. If you have made previous orders on our website, we will also be able to see your order history. Your order history namely is linked to your e-mail address. The automatic link avoids a lengthy search quest for the right order number!

Besides above data, you decide which data to share with us. The data which are provided to us, will be stored as long as required based on the form or the content of your mail and as long as required to properly answer of handle your personal matter.

Newsletter registration
We also send a digital newsletter. This is not only a general newsletter (the same content for each recipient) but in many cases also a personal newsletter. To determine the content of our newsletter, we request you to provide your interests and we use your order history.
Would you like to unsubscribe from a newsletter? That’s a piece of cake! Open the last newsletter you have received, go to the bottom and click on the link “Unsubscribe”. Problems? To unsubscribe you may also contact our customer service of course, but do take into account this will take somewhat longer.

Writing a blog reaction
If you post a blog reaction the following data will be published and will be visible to anyone:

  • The reaction (which can contain different types of information)

You are free to choose which information in the reaction is published. It is therefore possible your identity will be known. On request we will of course anonymize the information you have published.

Writing a product review
If you post a product review the following data will be published and will be visible to anyone:

  • Name
  • The review (which can contain different types of information)

You are free to choose which information in the review is published. It is therefore possible your identity will be known. On request we will of course anonymize the information you have published.

Moreover, we collect your e-mail address if you write a review when being logged in. Consequently, the reviews you have written, can also be found in your account. Your e-mail address is not published.

Social Media
Our webshop contains social media buttons. Mainly on our blog pages. When you click such a button the corresponding social media party will place a cookie in your computer. Security
We take precautionary security measures to limit the abuse and unauthorized access to personal data. Think about SSL Connection, login access to personal data and an access to personal data which is limited both digital and physical.

Retention period
Unless described otherwise above, we retain your personal data as long as necessary to process your orders, including the warranty. We then save the data for a maximum of three years for the described statistical purposes. The data are then deleted unless there is a legal obligation that requires longer retention (such as the seven-year tax retention obligation for payment data).

This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites that are linked to our webshop through links. We cannot guarantee that these third parties will handle your personal data in a reliable or safe manner.
